Magnet4Europe has launched its second survey in participating European hospitals

6/13/2022

by Dorothea Kohnen, KU Leuven, Belgium
As part of this study, Magnet4Europe has launched its second survey a few weeks ago. The survey aims to assess health professionals’ working conditions, quality of care and safety.
We want you!
A high response rate is crucial for the evaluation of Magnet4Europe. Therefore we invite healthcare professionals to participate in the study if they
  • practice as a nurse or physician (incl. residents) in one of the participating hospitals
  • have direct patient contact
  • work on adult inpatient units including ICU and ER

This survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Participants are completely free to decide whether or not to take part in the survey.

Where can I find information about the hospitals that are participating in the Magnet4Europe study?
An overview of hospitals from each participating country, can be retrieved here.

My hospital is part of the Magnet4Europe study, and I am eligible to participate in the survey. Why should I participate?
Your responses will help the Magnet4Europe researchers to gain more insight on how you perceive hospital care and the demands that are placed on clinical staff. By doing so, you help to improve the clinical work environment and safety and quality of patient care.
What does participation in this study involve?
Magnet4Europe uses Meplis Care Monitor software to conduct this survey. Health professionals that have participated in the first survey between 2020/2021 should have received an automatic invite to Care Monitor via e-mail. Health professionals that have not participated in the survey yet can receive a link to the survey from the hospital management. Eligible health professionals are able to voluntary participate in the study after providing their informed consent.

How is data being handled?
Neither the research team nor the hospital will know whether you have participated in the study or not. The hospital nor the Magnet4Europe team will ever have access to your personal data on the Meplis Care Monitor. Your data will be pseudonymised and encrypted and processed in full concordance to all GDPR regulations.
